Metaverse Standards Forum Sessions

How MASA and Metaverse Standards Forum are Paving the Road for the Metaverse Industry

Date and Time: Tuesday, June 18 at 11:45 a.m.
Location: Expo Stage
Description: Metaverse Standards Forum is a non-profit, member-funded consortium of standards-related organizations, companies, and institutions that are cooperating to foster interoperability for an open and inclusive metaverse. Since launching in June 2022, over 2600 organizations have now joined the forum, and more are joining every day. The Forum does not itself create standards but instead generates domain and technical reports, use case and requirements recommendations, pilots, testbeds and plugfests, open source tooling, best practices and guidelines, and other data, insights, and visibility to enable standards organizations to accelerate the development and evolution of standards that will be essential to building the metaverse. Metaverse Acceleration and Sustainability Association (MASA) is the world’s first and largest international consortium for metaverse technology research and application promotion. We undertake activities to accelerate the development of metaverse-related technologies, ecosystems and markets across the world, and to do so in a sustainable manner, supporting sustainable development goals. We are striving to be essential to the global metaverse community as a leading platform for metaverse-related collaborations and collective efforts such as open and responsible metaverse development toward a bright future where metaverse is adequately advanced, equitably accessible, and globally embraced for the benefit of humanity.
Speakers: Yu Yuan, Metaverse Acceleration and Sustainability Association; Ramesh Ramadoss, Metaverse Acceleration and Sustainability Association; Neil Trevett, Metaverse Standards Forum; Emily Stearns, Metaverse Standards Forum
