Gaussian Splats Town Hall Part 3: Research Insights and Interoperability

Join us for a town hall exploring the cutting-edge research shaping the future of Gaussian splats in digital reconstruction, visualization, and real-time rendering. Building on insights from the previous sessions, this town hall will delve into the research world of Gaussian splats and also review the latest progress made in interoperability.
This town hall will highlight active research in areas such as scalable level of detail (LOD) for massive scenes; efficient ray tracing with Gaussian primitives; animation; editing; and compression.
As the ecosystem evolves, we’ll discuss how the community can work together to ensure that progress is made thoughtfully and strategically, considering the needs and challenges of all stakeholders, including the research community driving innovation and industry’s need to avoid fragmenting the ecosystem.
Whether you’re a researcher developing new algorithms; an engine or tool developer; or a user interested in the future of digital reconstruction, this town hall is your opportunity to contribute to shaping the path forward for the industry.
