His extensive background includes leadership roles at CarConnectivity.org, GENIVI, GM Ventures, and Apple’s Newton project. Alfred holds degrees from MIT, Stanford, and UCLA, and combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision for the open metaverse.
Grig Bilham
CEO, SumSet Tech | Executive Director, Distributed Creatives
Grig Bilham is a veteran technologist with 25+ years of experience and 60+ products shipped for brands like Disney-ABC, Warner Music, and Autodesk. As Co-Chair of the Metaverse Standards Forum’s Digital Assets group and creator of MVMD.org, he’s shaping the future of interoperable digital assets. At SumSet.tech, he leads development of frontier AI systems like Thinkr (agentic orchestration for complex workflows), NeuroVault (a local-first, spatially aware AI memory engine that stores and retrieves evolving concepts, relationships, and knowledge in real time), and Quill (AI-driven storytelling for interactive metaverse experiences). Through Distributed Creatives, Grig advocates for creator-owned, non-profit infrastructure to build a more equitable, immersive digital future.
