The Metaverse Standards Forum was formed this year as a venue for collaboration among standards development organizations and industry to encourage the coordinated creation of open standards for the metaverse. The real-time community has vital expertise and a unique voice to influence and guide the metaverse ‘s evolution. In this Keynote, Forum Chair Neil Trevett will explore how this unprecedented collaborative effort is advancing metaverse interoperability and invite the involvement of the real-time community.

Real-Time Asset Interoperability: Challenges and Rewards
While there’s overlap between the MetaVerse and Real-time, the real-time community has its own unique concerns. In this panel, experts who have been helping to steward the development of 3D formats USD and glTF, as well as broader interoperability efforts within MSF, Khronos, and ASWF, will weigh in on the greatest challenges currently facing the real-time industry, and discuss what they’re doing to address them. We’ll also discuss why these interoperability efforts are important from a creative and business enablement perspective.
