The Solutions Architect will be a key member of our team working with partners, customers, and Cesium’s business development team to help define, prototype, and demo systems that highlight the value of Cesium, our partners, and connected ecosystems to customers. You will help advance key strategic opportunities through the art of the possible technical showcases.

What you will do:

– Engage in strategic high-impact opportunities and technical discussions with current and future partners and customers to understand core needs and distill the technical requirements.
– Define and prototype the critical path to a high value, low effort MVPs that paints the long-term technical architecture and vision for our customers and partners.
– Connect and integrate Cesium’s techstack with other ecosystem data, products, and services to create vision-aligned demos that showcase current and future possibilities.
– Communicate the value of Cesium in solving industry-specific challenges grounded in authentic education and technical fundamentals.

What we are looking for:
– 8+ years of experience in an outward-facing technical role working with different systems and industries. Experience with Cesium, geospatial, 3D, and/or game engines is a plus.
– Proven ability in solving complex challenges and architecting systems to showcase value.
– Strong expertise in JavaScript, runtime engines (Unreal, Unity), and light C++.
– Fantastic communicator and creditable in front of varying levels of stakeholders.
– Willingness to travel occasionally.

Ways to stand out:
– Previous experience developing applications and systems on the Cesium platform, or with related industry software that involved several connected components.
– Experience working with geospatial data and tools and knowledge of how they interconnect.
– Experience working with game engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity in enterprise applications and real-world use-cases.
